A TEXT POST

While you all watch a game that puts jets against cowboys, I watch a program about a day that rises fear in every american. again and again
I watch our cowboys march right in to help and save those in need after two jets crash into the world trade center.
Today was the 10 year anniversary of that destruction and for those of you that are too ignorant to take notice.. I feel sorry for you.I fucking hate ignorant people on this day. “Ohh this team won over this one..”, “lets all act like nothing happened”.
102 minutes of personal accounts, documented. And people don’t even take the time to watch it.. they decide to watch a game.. a game.

God Bless America on this day. I pray for those who risked their lives to save others.

Today is 9/11/11.

Tribute of Light for 9/11

A team of 30 electricians worked through the night yesterday to prepare for the 10th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks which takes place on Sunday. The ‘Tribute in Light’ is made up of 88 bulbs which project two blue beacons of light up into the heavens that is visible from a 60 mile radius.
The tribute will be powered on for the entire day and night on Sunday to remember the 2,753 people who died on September 11, 2001. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum is also scheduled to open on Sunday at the WTC site.

“The Tribute in Light is an art installation of 88 searchlights placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light in remembrance of the September 11 attacks.”

Reblog if you will forever remember what happened ten years ago on September 11, 2001.

Regardless of your religion, nationality, age, sex, or political views, reblog to honor those who lost their lives or family/friends that tragic day. Honor those who fought or are currently fighting the war to protect our freedom.

Ten Years Later: A Tribute 9/11

My favorite 9/11 tribute in New York City can be found in Bryant Park. 2,819 empty chairs on the lawn facing the site where the World Trade Center once stood, one chair for every life lost. The number of empty chairs captures the enormity of the lives lost and the stark emptiness of it just drives home the point that I hope is never forgotten.
2,819 people were here one moment and gone the next. 2,819 went to work or boarded a plane one morning ten years ago thinking it would be another ordinary day and they never came home.
